Student to Leadership Development Program (SLDP)

ASRT’s SLDP gives you the opportunity to represent Arizona on a national stage. It is designed for imaging and therapy students who want to:

• Develop professional leadership skills

• Attend the ASRT Educational Symposium & House of Delegates (all expenses covered)

• Connect with mentors and national leaders

Program Highlights:

• Mentorship from AZSRT affiliates

• Resume and confidence building

• Lifelong professional connections

Eligibility:

• Current student in an accredited radiologic science program

• ASRT and AZSRT member

• Able to commit to the full 3-year program

Committees play a vital role in advancing the society’s mission and goals. They focus on specific areas of need, plan and implement initiatives, and provide recommendations to the Board. Committees foster member engagement, leadership development, and collaboration while helping ensure effective communication, education, and outreach. Committees include but not limited to:

Bylaws & Compliance Committee
The Bylaws & Compliance Committee ensures AZSRT’s governing documents stay current and relevant. Members review and maintain bylaws, suggest updates, and support compliance with society policies—safeguarding the organization’s structure, integrity, and accountability. This also includes Policies and Procedures.

Membership/website & Social Media Committee
The Membership Committee focuses on growing and engaging AZSRT’s membership. Members help promote the benefits of joining, welcome new members, and support retention efforts—strengthening the Society’s community and digital presence.

Events Committee
The Events Committee helps plan and organize AZSRT’s annual meetings and events. Including the new Multistate Zoom meeting. Members assist with programming, logistics, and attendee engagement—creating meaningful educational and networking experiences for the Society.

AZ Advocacy & State Issues Committee
The Advocacy & State Issues Committee monitors legislative and regulatory matters affecting radiologic technologists in Arizona. Members help raise awareness, support advocacy efforts, and keep the Society informed—ensuring our profession’s voice is heard at the state level.

Collegiate Affairs & SLDP Student Guidance Committee
Engage and mentor the next generation of radiologic technologists! Members connect with students and educational programs, support SLDP applicants, provide guidance and resources, and help grow awareness of AZSRT—shaping the future of our profession.

Nominations & Tally Committee
Shape the leadership of AZSRT! Members assist with collecting and verifying nominations, managing election materials, and ensuring accurate vote tallying—helping maintain a fair and transparent leadership selection process.
